After living in Seagrove for over 4 years, Karen decided to get her own Florida Real Estate License in 2007 and joined Jon's company, Go to the Beach.net Realty. Karen has extensive knowledge and experience in the South Walton real estate market, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and Marketing from the University of South Carolina. Prior to moving to Florida, Karen had worked over 10 years in the computer sales industry, working with very prestigious companies such as IBM.

In addition to her real estate activities, Karen has been very active in the local community. She has served as a Board Member on three different neighborhood Homeowner Associations, a Board Member and Committee Chairperson at Bay Elementary School, member of Pt. Washington Methodist Church, Member of Walton Area Chamber of Commerce, Owner and Manager of her own Rental company (Pearly White Properties, LLC) and a coach of many softball, basketball and soccer teams for children in the area.

Karen has been married for 15 years to Dr. Rep Bennett, retired Dentist, and has 2 active daughters. Jordan is 12 years old, attends Seaside Charter School and sings in her church's choir. Kendall is 10 years old and attends Bay Elementary School, when she is not playing with her travel fast pitch softball team.

In search for additional investment properties in the South Walton area, Karen and her husband were shown a beach house property by Jon Miller. It wasn't even listed for sale anywhere but Jon had heard the owner might be interested in selling it and he was right. After purchasing that investment property, they purchased another beach house from Jon the following year. They really enjoyed Jon's low pressure sales approach and his incredible knowledge of the rental investment opportunities in South Walton.
